Taigatech is making sustainable wood production more competitive by improving raw material utilisation and uptime at sawmills, with the help of AI and computer vision solutions. Since the company was founded in 2020, we have helped clients all over the world to improve their production by minimising waste, automating production processes and becoming more efficient, with our new innovative concepts. We have a strong connection with academia, with Fredrik Kahl, professor in Computer Vision at Chalmers, being one of the founders.

About The Thesis Work

We are seeking a talented student to tackle advanced challenges within our core technology. You will have a lot of freedom to shape the work according to your interest, but some suggestions what it could involve are stated below:

• Model Research and Experimentation: Research and implement the latest Machine Learning or Deep Learning algorithms to enhance the accuracy and robustness of our current object detection models.

• Performance Optimization: Investigate methods to improve the speed and efficiency of our current development processes.

• Tech Stack Enhancement: Explore and integrate new technologies or frameworks to modernize and optimize our data processing pipelines, MLOps, or deployment architecture.
